If you going to visit the Midlands, you should at least experience the country!

Many people make the journey up to the Natal Midlands but then make the mistake of staying in or too close to the towns. They miss the peace and quiet of the country nights and gentleness of a sunrise over the hills.

Our cottages and rooms are all slightly different and so whether you are a family looking for a longer stay in the area or some friends needing a ‘lock up and go’ in a great location for a Midlands wedding, we have something suitable for most people!

Lakeview Cottage

This two bedroom fully equipped and serviced cottage can sleep up to 6 in two bedrooms / 2 bathrooms with a sleeper couch. The cottage overlooks our top dam where you can enjoy some bass fishing on a catch and release basis., enjoy boating and canoeing and even some swimming! The cottage is really spacious and has a wood burning fireplace in the sitting room for those chilly Midlands evenings! The deep verandah offers a retreat to relax, read a book, paint or draw! The cottage offers a wonderful place for families and friends to meet and share time together. There is a one bedroom cottage located next door which works well if you are a larger family group who want to rent both cottages.

Paddocks Cottage

This is a large one bedroom cottage that can sleep 4 (one king and two single beds, in one room). There is a full bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a 2 plate stove and fridge. The outside patio overlooks the farm fields. The accommodation is simple but comfortable. This is a perfect cottage for a couple or for a family small children. The farm is a working farm with cows, horses, plum trees and 2 dams where you can enjoy some relaxed fishing or a picnic on the lawns. We have a tennis court for those of you that wish to be more energetic! There are some lovely walks and excellent mountain biking routes directly from the farm.

Nguni Cottage

This one bedroom with full bathroom cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen and spacious sitting area has a lovely view overlooking our top dam, from a large deep verandah. The cottage is perfect for those wanting to really relax and enjoy the country life. There is a 2 bedroom cottage located next door which works well if you are a larger family group and want to rent both cottages. The farm is a working farm with cows, horses, plum trees and 2 dams where you can enjoy some relaxed fishing or a picnic on the lawns. We have a tennis court for those of you that wish to be more energetic! There are some pretty walks and excellent mountain biking routes directly from the farm. Gowrie Golf Course and Bosch Golf Course are close by.

Private Rooms

This comfortable spacious en suite bedroom in the original thatch building built in 1848 exudes charm from a bygone era. The beds can be made up as two single beds or as a king bed. A coffee and tea station is offered in the room. There are no cooking facilities.
